Loreal Paris Hair Expertise

hey guys! I haven't wrote a blog post in what has felt like ages( and probably has been!) I've been so busy with life, y'all know how that goes!  Anyway, today I'm doing a review on loreal Paris hair expertise hair products that were sent to me for review from VoxBox. My hair tends to shed a lot so I received the arginine resist shampoo, conditioner and treatment spray from the new line. It claims to strengthen hair, nourish root tip and prevent breakage. I've used it for about two weeks now and here are the pros and cons.
Pros: smells awesome!
My hair stayed cleaner for a lot longer
         My hair was softer

Cons: my hair is still breaking and falling out
It caused my psoriasis on my scalp to freak out

With that being said, even though my hair smells great, I'd rather not be dealing with the psoriasis lol
Unfortunately, I won't be buying this but I would recommend it to others who don't have psoriasis!

Thanks for stopping by!

Essence Like An Unforgettable Kiss

Hello again! Would you believe me if I told you that I finally got an entire collection of polish? That's right, I did! Lol. When I seen that all were available I snatched them up :p
This collection from Essence includes four cream shades great for Spring!

First up is Always On My Mint

This gorgeous mint was a little bit streaky so I had to use 3 coats. Other than that, I really enjoy this polish.

This is Pink Me

This pink was really creamy and applied really Nicely and evenly. The shade itself is really pretty too! This is 2 coats.

Here's Nothing But Lovestoned

I'm not sure how to describe this...peach or coral? Maybe a bit of both? Lol either way, this one had the best formula out of the four. This is 2 coats.

Lastly, You Let My Heart Skip A Beat

Who doesn't love purple?!!  It's really pretty but seemed a bit thin. Maybe it was just my bottle or the way I applied it.
I used 2 coats.

Over all, I really liked this collection and Essence polishes always dry really fast too and very affordable. I got these for $2.49 each from Shoppers Drug Mart.
Thanks for stopping by!

Forever Polished by Ashley

Hey guys! I finally ordered some polishes and mani bombs (just like bath bombs but for your hands!) from Forever Polished by Ashley and let me tell ya... They rock!! Unfortunately, polishes are no longer being made but the mani bombs are totally worth ordering.

Super cute packaging and a detailed note on how to use the mani bombs which was really useful! I ordered four polishes (Giza, Monster Bash, Cranberry Me, and Baby Unicorn Sneeze), and a zucchini bread vanilla bean mani bomb and fruity pebbles mani crumble. Also included was a sample of Beautiful Day ( mani bomb). You're supposed to put the bomb in warm water with bare nails for 15-30 minutes. They smell SO AMAZING and my hands felt so soft and healthy after use.

This is the crumbles fizzing away. You can see the video of it in action on my Instagram @polishednubs.

Here's Giza

A beautiful nude with scattered holo throughout. This is 3 coats, great formula.

This is Cranberry Me

Three coats of this beautiful cranberry colored jelly holo! So beautiful in real life!

Here's Monster Bash

Guys!!! Look at this!!! This is a glitter bomb in a scattered holo base. It includes holo moons and stars, blue, white green hexagons and some translucent purple glitters as well! This is one coat over an Essie polish and no fishing was involved.

Lastly, Baby Unicorn Sneeze

So fun! The base is clear with some scattered holo, but appears somewhat purple in the bottle, and assorted colored pastel hexagon glitters. Easy application with only one coat.

Ashley's next restock is on February 22 and her mani bombs sell out really fast.

Thanks for stopping by!

MAC Erogenous

Hey guys! I went to MAC yesterday with my mom for lipstick, obviously couldn't leave without polish! Lol. This is my first MAC polish so I was super stoked to try it out. I chose Erogenous (and so did my mom :p). It's a nude peachy shade.

The last picture is more colour accurate. The brush was nice, and I noticed that a lot of polish came off the brush even after wiping some back into the bottle. After two coats I noticed some minor streaking on some nails so I did three coats just to be safe.it dried pretty quickly as well.  I'm super happy with this polish and I can't wait to grab more from MAC!

What are some of your fave MAC polishes?
Thanks for stopping by!

Favourites from 2014

Hey everyone! For this post I'm going to be sharing my fave polishes (some indie, some mainstream) that either came out in the year 2014 or ones that I finally got to try in 2014! It was super hard not to pick like 400 polishes! :p
The posts are in no particular order.

This is "Cupids TKO" from Polish Addict Nail Color. Laura, the owner, is a crelly genius and has some awesome customer service. I believe this was a limited edition Valentines Day polish. It's a white crelly base with black, blue, purple, pink and holo glitters in assorted shapes and sizes. I do believe she is re releasing this gem so keep your eyes peeled!

Here's "Spin The Bottle" from Essie. I'm such a sucker for nude polishes and this one is a winner!

"under The Sea" from Essence's Aquatix collection. A beautiful sky blue linear holo with great application.

"Pool Toys" from Trelly Polish fed my addiction for giant, round holo glitters lol such a fun assorted mix for summer time. Butterflies, stars, matte and holo glitters make a great combo!

Kayla, owner of Creative Cuticles Nail Polish, created this beauty "Acid Rainbow" as part of her Halloween collection. What made me love this polish so much was obviously the color combo with grey, buttery application and the shine! These pics have no top coat! She also has wonderful customer service.

China Glaze "It's A Trapeze!" Has been a lemming of mine since I seen the cirque de soliel collection. I wasn't able to find it until recently and now I know why EVERYONE just adored this polish.

Rainbow Honey Cosmetics "Magic Cake" is one of those glitters that can really go with any colour, and that versatility (along with the giant HOT PINK hexes!) is what made me love this polish so much.

"Life Gave Me Lemons" from OPI. This neon just wowed me. No white indie needed and only needed 2 coats to achieve opacity with little streaking.

"Drama Sheen" from Sally Hansens Triple Shine line. I usually can't stand sheer polishes but something about this purple girly, opalescent goodness struck me.

jindie Nails "Midnight Rainbow" and it's round glitter is what initially attracted me to this polish. What's really awesome about this polish is is that you don't need to fish for any glitter! It's jam packed with glitter and has a great formula as all Jindie Nails polishes do.

Sally Hansen "Pacific Blue" (original formula). Seriously, blue perfection. If you're ever able to find this, get it! I never got to try this polish before Sally Hansen re formulated it and when I heard how upset everyone was about it, I went scouting for it and found it. Now I know what the big hype is all about. 2 perfect blue coats.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics "Abracadaver" is so wicked, not only because of the name but the colour combination. It's just one of those polishes you have to try to see for yourself lol!

"Metro Pollentin" from China glaze has a horrible formula. It's chalky, streaky, and for me required three coats. I honestly don't know why I love this polish so much but I do. I hate yellow polish. There's just something about the way it looks I can't put my finger on...

"Cranberry Cider" is from Candy Nail polish, a Canadian indie company. It's a lovely red jelly with black, red and silver holo glitters and has an amazing formula.

"Romeo" from Polish Addict Nail Color is just superb. A grey crelly with blue, black and silver glitters.

"Coca-Cola Red" from OPI's collab with Coca-Cola. This is just a plain classic red that is just perfect. My fave red hands down.

Revlon's "Elusive" is an elegant black with teal glitters in it. Opaque in 2 coats.

Different Dimensions "Have A Grape Day" is a shimmery blue/purple thermal. Great formula and just so pretty.

"Monster Mash" from Trelly Polish is the best and my most fave glitter topper of ALL TIME. No joke. Depending on the base color, you can make the glitter pop and look super fun or you can jelly sandwich it for a more softer look.

Black Cat Lacquer "Poison Apple" is a candy apple scented thermal with scattered holo. It transitions from a lighter red to a darker red.

365 Days Of Color "June Gloom" is so great because the neon glitters really pop against the grey base color. And no fishing needed!

Polish Me Silly "I'm Bananas 4 U" is a funky green/yellow thermal with yellow and green glitters.

This glitter topper from Hatd Candy is called "Pop-arazzi". It's a mix of small matte hex glitters that reminds me of the circus.

"Falling:With Style!" From Sindie Pop! Is based off Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story, how cool, right?! A great crelly with just the right amount of glitter.

Revlon Parfumerie "African Tea Rose" is the perfect pink! And to make this polish better it smells exactly like wild roses!

"Drunken Unicorn" from Polish Addict Nail Color". Like I said before, Laura is a crelly genius! This polish is so fun with its large circle glitters and small neon dots. No glitter fishing and awesome formula.

China Glaze "Getting To Gnaw You" is a gorgeous pink, slightly textured and dries to a satiny finish.

"The Pumpkin King" from Black Cat Laqcuer is based off the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas. My fave movie! Such a fun unique polish. Fave part of this glitter topper is that it has giant black and orange holo pumpkins.

So those were my faves from 2014, what were yours? hope you enjoyed!

Guest post!

Hey guys! My daughter Emma got an early Christmas present and its a Monster High nail set! She was super stoked to try  it al out. She looks at me and say, "Mom, I want to be a blogger like you. Can you blog this please?" Hahah!! Of course I will! So the set came with a nail dryer, a sheet of decals, and 7 polishes.

She wanted me to say that the polishes don't dry fast and that's no good and that the decals don't fit "kid fingers" lol. They stick up on the edges.

Here is Emma's finished mani using her set. She really liked the fan because it helped dry the nail polish (even though it really didn't).

Thanks for stopping by!
