China Glaze Apocalypse Of Color

Hey guys! I was finally able to get my hands on the zombie themed China Glaze Halloween 2014 collection, Apocalypse Of Color! Let me tell you, it doesn't disappoint! It consists of 5 new shades plus Ghoulish Glow which is re released every year. I don't have a swatch of it for you because in my opinion the glow on it is crap.

Here's "Don't Let The Dead Bite"
    Artificial light

This is a pale pink/nude crelly with pink and red hexagons and bar glitter in various sizes. I'm assuming this Is meant to represent blood spatter. It's very well represented and has a great formula. I used 3 coats plus topcoat.

This is "But Of Corpse"
    Artificial light

This is a slime green polish with black glitter and silver shimmer. It dries to a beautiful matte satiny finish, and it's also slightly textured. No applications issues, dried super fast. I used only one coat, no topcoat.

"I Love Your Guts"
    Artificial light

This was my unexpected fave from this collection. It's a lovely pink that I think suits the name really well. Finish and application is the same as "But Of Corpse". Also one coat.

This is "Getting To Gnaw You"
    Artificial light

This is a black, slightly textured polish with orange/copper glitter in it. Fantastic application. 2 coats, no topcoat.

Lastly "Rest In Pieces"
    Artificial light

This is a glitter topper that consists black hexagons, gold and copper bars of various sizes. It's a really beautiful glitter that I didn't think I'd like but I do! I layered one coat over Essie "Fierce, No Fear".

Overall, I LOVE this collection! China Glaze did such a great job this year.

Thanks for stopping by!

China Glaze Surprise Collection

Hey guys! Today I have 2 polishes from China Glazes Surprise Collection. I've been on the prowl for these for a while and found a couple at Sally beauty for $4.30 each!! To avoid repitition, both were a tiny bit difficult to apply without having to do some dabbing but application was good all around.
This post is very pic heavy!

Here's "Glimmer More"

    Indoor lighting.

This is a glitter polish in a clear base with Fuschia hex glitters and matte light pink, yellow and peach hexes. This is layered over Essence "Peach & Cream".

This is "I'm A Go Glitter"

This is over OPI "Fly". I didn't like the choice of colour so I changed it up lol
Indoor lighting

This is over China Glaze "Secret Periwinkle".
This is a glitter in a clear base with Fuschia hexes and matte yellow and light blue hexes.

I want more of these! I think they're so cute and fun. What do y'all think?

China Glaze City Flourish Spring 2014 part 1

Hey everyone! How was your weekend? I spent mine lazing around and cleaning lol. Anyway, I made a recent trip to Sally Beauty Supply and they had a buy one get one free sale on all China Glaze! I figured it was a good time to grab some polishes from this collection.

First up is "Strike A Rose"

    Direct sunlight
    Shade

This is such a gorgeous pink! It has shimmer running thought it too. Application was really good. This is 2 coats with no topcoat... Look how shiny it is, you can see my reflection!! Lol

Here's "Metro Pollen-tin"

    Direct sunlight

This is probably one of the worst polishes I've dealt with formula wise...ever. To be honest, I only grabbed this one because I have no colours like this in my collection. It was extremely streaky, chalky and dried to a semi matte finish. I has to use 3 thick coats for it to look like this. A good thing about it was that it did dry pretty fast considering the amount of polish used.

Last up is "What A Pansy"

    Direct sunlight

I had such a problem photographing this, but I assure you it's a very beautiful lavender! It looks a wee but different in the bottle than on the nail. And the name is awesome! I had no issues with application. This is 3 coats.

I can't wait to try out the rest of the polishes from this collection! Have you tried any? What are your favourites?

Thanks for stopping by! Come check me out on Instagram @polishednubs

China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze 2013

Hey! I have a few more polishes from China Glaze's Happy HoliGlaze Collection! Lets get right into with "Just Be-Claws"
    Natural light.

Hands down, one of my fave reds in my collection! This red foil was perfect in two coats. Also no topcoat and dried pretty fast.

This is "Put A Bow On it"
   Natural light

This is a purple micro glitter in a clear base. Opaque in only two coats! It dried a bit dull so I'm sure a nice thick top coat would bring out the sparkle quite a bit!

That's it for this post, thanks!

China Glaze Happy HoliGlaze Collection Winter 2013 part 1

Hi guys! So today I have part 1 of China Glaze's winter 2013 collection, Happy HoliGlaze! This collection consists of 6 glitters,5 foils,1 texture and a partridge in a pear tree. That's my attempt at humor, lol! Anyway, on with the show!

This is "So Blue Without You"
    Natural light

This was easy to apply, and unexpected for a holiday collection. I like it though! This is 2 coats.

Here's "Mingle With Kringle"
    Natural light

This gold foil was a bit watery application wise. It actually has small gold flakies in it too. This is 2 coats.

"Bells Will Be Blinging"
    Natural light

Not the best picture, but it's always hard to capture holo! This is a glitter in a clear base and has silver, gold, and blue glitter. The bar glitter is holographic. The glitter payoff was nice and application was good too. This is 1 coat over "Kringle With Mingle".

This is "Your Present Required"
    Natural light

This is a glitter in a clear base and consists of small white, gold and blue glitter along with assorted sized white, gold, purple, blue, and orange hex glitters. It's really a fun glitter!!! This is 1 generous coat over Essie "Tart Deco".

Here's "Be Merry, Be Bright"
    Natural light

    Shade

This has purple and pinky/red coloured hex and small glitters in a clear base. So pretty! Application was good as well. This is 1 generous coat over Essie "The More The Merrier".

Last up is "There's Snow One Like You"
    Natural light

    Natural light.

This is a texture polish, obviously, and it has white hex glitters in it. I can see what China Glaze was trying to do but in my opinion, this isn't for everyday, all day wear. It was a bit hard to work with and snagged on EVERYTHING!!!! I think this would be best if used as snow on a mani that has nail art on it. This is 2 coats.

Sindie POP! and KB Shimmer

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been missing for a while. I started going back to school last month so that's been taking up a lot of my time. Today I have some indie polishes to show you!

First up, Falling:With Style! From Sindie POP!
    Natural Light.

This is supposed to resemble Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story. What a perfect match, right?! This is a milky white base with assorted size red, blue, dark and light green glitters. There was no fishing for glitter, and it went on perfect. This is 2 coats with no topcoat.
The next polishes are all from KB Shimmer.

Here's "The Dancing Green".
    Natural light.

This is a green jelly base with assorted sized purple, green and blue circle and square glitters. This is 2 coats no topcoat. I turned the bottle upside for a out a minute before applying to make sure I got some of those squares!

This is "Jack".

    Natural light.

This has been a major lemming for me and I'm so happy I have it now considering it's discontinued! So, this is a  black jelly with black and orange hex,bar and micro circle glitters. No fishing with this one! This is 2 coats, no topcoat.

This is "Would Jubillee It?"

    Natural light.
    Natural light.

Circle glitters!!!!!! This is gorgeous! This is 2 coats over China Glaze "Charmed, I'm Sure". This has assorted sized purple, silver, dark and light blue dots and small bar glitters. It's amazing.

You can find these awesome indie makers on Instagram: @sindipop and @kbshimmer. You can also come check me out @polishednubs !

China Glaze Monster's Ball

Hey everyone! It's almost Halloween...who's excited?! I am! My daughter is going as a furby this year lol. Anyway, today I have the Monsters Ball Collection from China Glaze. This is the 2013 Halloween collection. I waited so long for this and I'm glad I'm finally able to swatch it for y'all! I am missing one however and that is the black texture, Bump in The Night.

First up is "Howl You Doin'"
    Natural lighting.
This was so hard to capture. It is a purple jelly with purple and orange flakies. It's a stunner. This was 2 coats.

Here's "Fang-tastic"
    Natural lighting.

"Fang-tastic" is a glitter topper in a clear base and has small pink, green, and blue hex and circle glitters. This is over OPI Black Onyx.

This is "Boo-gie Down"
    Natural lighting.

This is another glitter topper in a clear base and contains various sized white, gold, black, bar, hex and circle glitters. This is over Rimmel "Grey Matter".

This one is "Bat My Eyes".
    Artificial light.

This is a black jelly loaded with different sized gold glitters! My favourite part about this polish is that there's orange bars in here too! You can see them easier in the bottle.

Last up is "Ghoulish Glow"

Pretty disappointing huh? I applied 2 coats, charged them under a light and this was the result. So ya, thumbs down.

That's all! Hope you all have a good Halloween! Be safe out there!

China Glaze Sunsational Jellies summer 2013

Hi!! I picked up few of China Glaze's new polishes from their summer jelly collection. They are great!

Here's "Are You Jelly?"

Beautiful purple! Easy to build up colour, great application and dry time!! This is 4 coats.

 Jelly sandwich using OPI's "Polka.com"

This is "Keepin' It Teal".
This is 4 coats and was harder to build up. But, it is a jelly after all! It's a gorgeous colour, I would say more a turquoise.

 Jelly sammich!!!

Can't wait to get my hands on the others! Have you tried them? What do you think of these?

Don't forget to find me on Instagram @polishednubs and thanks for stopping bye!
