OPI Neon 2014 Collection

Hey guys! So today I have the new neon collection from OPI! There were some unexpected faves for me from this collection! I bought the mini set which includes the 6 neons. There's also a white to use a base coat to make the neons pop out but I didn't grab that one. 

All the swatches are without white undies and all dried to a semi matte finish. 

First up is "Juice Bar Hopping"

This is a retina searing tangerine! I love it! The formula was good, dried to a semi matte finish. I used 3 coats with no topcoat. 

This is "Life Gave Me Lemons"

Ahh! My first of the unexpected faves! Totally reminds me of a highlighter yellow, it's great! This is 3 coats, no topcoat. Formula was good.

Here's "You're So Outta Lime!"

My other fave! This reminds me of a neon version of Essie's "Mojito Madness". 3 coats, no topcoat. 

Next up is "Hotter Than You Pink"

This hot pink has a pearlescent shimmer to it which I really like. There's some visible nail line (VNL) but it's not super noticible. I used 3 coats and no topcoat. Also had a good formula and dry time. 

This is "Push & Purr-Pull"

This is the only polish that I had a problem with the formula. I found it to be very streaky on the first coat, and on the second coat it dragged away a lot from the cuticle. The one thing i do like is that it looks super squishy!! This is 3 coats with no topcoat. 

Lastly is "Down To The Core-al"

This is a beautiful coral colour which, unfortunately, I wasn't able to photograph so well. Like "Hotter Than You Pink", it's also pearlescent. Good formula, 3 coats no topcoat.

Influenster ImPress Manicure VoxBox

Hey guys! For today's post I have 2 sets of  Broadway Impress Manicure press on nails. I received these complimentary for review.

Here's the first set called "Shout" 

The second set is Disney Villain inspired (pretty cool!).  These are called "Evil Queen". 

Because I was asked to do an honest review, there's more cons than pros for me with these. The package claims that they last up to a week and easy removal. Since I don't like press on nails, taking these off right away seemed to damage my natural nail a bit, my nails are some what weak though. If you don't have a busy lifestyle these probably would stay on for a while because they are extremely sticky! Even with some filing to shape them to fit better they still looked weird on my nails. I think these would be great for younger people, or even if you have nice strong nails so that removal won't damage your natural nail.

Nicole by OPI Roughles Collection

Hi everyone! Today I have the Nicole by OPI Roughles Collection (except for one, unfortunately). The collection consists of 4 textured pastel shades with hair like glitters. All of them had good formulas and dry time, as do most textures. 

Here's "Sand In My Shoe"

    Indoor lighting 

This is a yellow texture with red-orange glitter. To be honest, I wasn't too crazy about this one. The macro looks either like scrambled eggs with ketchup or vomit lol. Anyway, this is 2 coats. 

This is "On What Grounds?"

    Indoor lighting 

This is a blue texture with black and blue glitter. I really love this one, I'm weak for a pretty blue! This is 2 coats. 

Lastly is "I'm Stucco On You"

    Indoor lighting

This is a purple base with blue and pink glitter. My fave colour is purple so naturally this one is my favourite! Unfortunately, the macro shot is not very colour accurate except for the glitter, sorry! I assure you these are all gorgeous in real life! 

The one I'm missing is a pink :( I found these at Shoppers Drug Mart for $9.99 CAD each.

OPI Dutch 'ya Just Love OPI? And Lincoln Park After Midnight

Hey y'all! Today I have a couple OPI manis for ya, "Dutch 'ya Just Love OPI?" And "Lincoln Park After Midnight". I'm a sucker for dark, vampy colours so these were perf! 

Here's Lincoln Park After Dark

This is a deep purple, almost black looking in some lighting. It includes a beautiful shimmer. 

Sorry for the weird hand poses, it was hard to capture the shimmer! I used 2 coats plus topcoat for the photos above. 

This is Dutch 'ya Just Love OPI?

    Indoor lighting

I seriously LOVE this one! It's a grape-y purple with gold and red shimmer. Application for for both polishes have me no problems. I used to coats plus topcoat for these photos. 

I was lucky enough to grab these for $5 from a hair salon :)

Polish Addict Nail Color In Bloom, The Prince & The Showgirl and Vanellope Von Schweetz

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been away, just finished moving to a new place! Laura and Crystal released some re formulated polishes from last year, I grabbed 2:In Bloom and The Prince & The Showgirl (part of the "She's a Legend" trio), plus Vanellope Von Schweetz!

**Just to warn y'all, this post is somewhat pic heavy :p **

The Prince & The Showgirl is a beautiful blue holo with what appears to also be somewhat of a chrome.

I unfortunately wasn't able to get a sun shot because it's been so rainy and gloomy here. 

   This macro shot shows the chrome. 

I used 3 coats and topcoat for the above photos. The application was thin on the first coat but built up nicely. As always, great formula and dry time! I really want the rest from this collection. If you're a polish and Marilyn Monroe fan, you need these!!

Here's "In Bloom"

This is a pale green crelly LOADED with all sorts of glitters. Stars,flowers,assorted sized colors and sizes of squares, and assorted sizes and color circles. Also, matte and holo! I'm not much if a green fan, to be honest, so I only ordered a mini size which in now regretting. Everyone needs this polish in their life, seriously. I didn't really have any issues grabbing glitters except for the flowers and stars which is to be expected and I didn't mind  at all lol. This is 3 coats and topcoat, great formula too. 

I used In Bloom with a matte topcoat and Sally Hansens "Mint Tint". 

It looks awesome matte!! 

This is "Vanellope Von Schweetz"

    Macro shot!

First off, this polish is super fun! I love the random glitter assortment. Microglitters, tiny bars, squares, hexagons and circles of various shapes and colours. Some are matte and holo too! Flawless application and had no problems at all getting some of the bigger glitters. This is 3 coats and topcoat.

N.Y.C. Too Of The Gold

Happy Easter weekend, everyone! What are you're plans? I'm not feeling well, so my plans consist of waiting for the bunny to come visit my daughter :)

Anyway, I've always wanted a gold flakie topcoat but didn't want to pay $30 for it so when I seen this topcoat from N.Y.C. called "Top Of The Gold" I had to have it! It obviously doesn't contain real gold as some of the others do, but for $1.50 who's complaining?!

I layered one coat over OPI "Malaga Wine" and topcoat. 

Here it is with a matte topcoat.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I'm a sucker for matte topcoat! 

Application was great, lots of glitter came off which is why I only did one coat. I'm pretty sure you could build this up on its own to be opaque. I say it's definitely worth buying if you don't already own a gold flakie topcoat!

Bluebird Nails

Hi everyone! I recently one a giveaway and was super lucky to receive 2 beauties from Ami, creator of Bluebird Nails. And they came all the way to me from Australia to Canada! I received "Romanian Princess" and "Sialia Sialis".

This is a beautiful almost jelly finish full of shimmer and holo glitter! I used 3 coats with no topcoat. Look how shiny it is!!

Here's "Sialia Sialis"

A yummy sky blue full of shimmer with blue shreds, blue hexes, blue, green, silver and black small glitters. This dried to semi matte finish on the first coat. This is 2 coats, no topcoat. 

Both of these polishes applied flawlessly and dried really fast, too! I had no problems grabbing glitter either. 

I'm so thrilled I was able to try these out because I really love them!
