Creative Cuticles Nail Polish Un Halloween Duo

Hey guys! I feel super lucky and honoured to be able to say that Kayla, owner and maker of polish beauties, from Creative Cuticles Nail Polish sent me a swatcher pack of her upcoming Un Halloween Duo! The idea behind the duo is that what is usually scary isn't and vice versa, hence names such as "Vegan Zombie" and "Acid Rainbow". How clever! The collection consists of a glitter crelly and a glitter topper. This collection is set to be released September 26th! Get you're wallets ready people, here come the swatches!!

First up is "Vegan Zombie"
    Artificial light
    Shade

This is a glitter topper in a clear base with  skull and crossbones, matte purple, green and orange glitters and also orange and green hexagons.

Guess what? It's also glow in the dark!!

The glow in this baby is so intense!!

Application was good, I had to fish for the skull glitters but that is to be expected. Other then that, no issues! I layered it over Rimmel "Grey Matter".

Last but not least,"Acid Rainbow"
   Artificial light
    Shade
    Matte topcoat

This is a grey crelly with multicoloured micro glitters. The glitter colours in this are perfect for fall/halloween! I'm going to be honest, I didn't think I'd like this one too much, but after wearing it I want to paint everything with it!! No joke! Perfect application with an excellent dry time. I used 3 coats and topcoat.

Loot at these macros!!! (I'm drooling)

Essie Summer 2014 Collection

Hey guys! I was finally able to find Essie's Summer collection, better late than never right? Lol but of course I only got 4 of the  6 in the collection. I have such hard times finding complete collections!!
All polishes are without topcoat, they're super shiny!!

First up is "Strut Yout Stuff"
    Artificial lighting

Almost a one coater of a beautiful sky blue! Application was good, but this is a stainer! I would suggest using 2 coats of base coat prior to applying.

Here's "Fierce, No Fear"
    Artificial light

This is a yummy chocolate brown, I really like it! Once again, almost a one coater! I was very impressed.

Next is "Ruffles & Feathers"
    Artificial light

One of my faves from the collection!! This is what drew my eyes to the display! This was a one coater! Good job Essie! Application was the best for this polish.

Lastly, "Urban Jungle"
    Artificial light

This is an off white, I was most excited for this colour and this is the one I care less for. I noticed the brush was super thin, and after checking out Thepolishaholic's blog, I realized I was not alone, as she mentioned the same thing. I had to do three coats for it to look like this, and it's a mess! Patchy, thick, etc.

What is fave from this collection?
Thanks for stopping by!

Essence Dark Romance Collection

Hey guys! Today I have the three polishes from Essence's Dark Romance collection. It consists of one matte, texture, and one shimmer.

First is "Gothic Gold"
    Artificial light

This is a gold texture, and it's so pretty in real life! It dried really fast and had good application. This is 2 coats.

This is "Red Romance"
    Artificial light

This dries to matte finish. I added topcoat to my ring finger so you can see the difference. The first coat looked a bit streaky, but the second fixed that up! This is 2 coats.

Lastly, "Dark Night Starlight"
    Artificial light

This is my fave, unexpectedly, from this collection. When I applied the first coat it looked blue!

Look at this beauty!!! Good application and dry time. Two coats.

I picked these up from Shoppers Drug mart for $2.49 each! Essence polish has awesome prices.

Thanks for stopping by!

Trust Fund Beauty

Hi guys! I recently won a giveaway on Instagram from Trust Fund Beauty and I'm going to share my winnings with you today! Trust Fund Beauty is a newer Canadian Indie polish company based out of Montreal. The polishes have sassy names such as "Nip Slip", "Do You Know Who My Father is?", and "I Look Good Nude". They also have funny captions to go with the descriptions.
Both the polishes I received had awesome formulas with no issues at all and quick dry time. The packaging is super cute, each bottle comes in a box.

First is "Gossip Mag"
    Artificial lighting

The caption for this on their site is "Let them talk! It's not your fault you're so interesting. Besides, everytime they buy a mag with your face on the cover, you get a thrill. The people need to be entertained, and who are you to deny the world your sexy self?" This is a red orange and almost a one coater. I used two for the photos above with no top coat. Look at the shine!!

Lastly, "Is He Rich?"
    Artificial lighting
    Shade

The caption on the site reads "A question that is often asked, and the answer is always the same. Obvi! Why waste your time otherwise?"  This a a deep turquoise. Unfortunately, my camera hates me and I couldn't get an accurate colour shot. :( two coats, no topcoat.

I highly recomend checking this company out. You can find them on Instagram at @trustfundbeauty or trustfundbeauty.com

Essence Beach Cruisers Collection

Hey y'all! Today I have the Essence Beach Cruisers collection for ya, well actually only 3 of the 4. I have bad luck when it comes to finding a complete collection lol. This collection consists of 4 textured polishes with a shimmer. The one I'm missing is a gold one. The formula and dry time were good for 2 of them, I'll get to the third after the jump.

First up is "I ❤️ Summer Break"

    Artificial lighting

This macro is the most colour accurate, it is a red-orange texture with red and gold shimmer running through it. This is 2 coats no top coat.

Here's "Keep Calm And Go To The Beach!"

    Artificial lighting

This textured polish has gold and green shimmer in it and is my favourite out of the collection! This is 2 coats no topcoat.

Lastly is "Girls Just Wanna Have Sun!"

    Artificial lighting.

Nice peachy colour with orange shimmer in it. This is the polish that have me a little bit of trouble during application. It just seemed a bit thick so I had to use 3 coats. Other then that, no issues.

Overall, nice collection with cute names! For only $2.49 a bottle, why not give em a try!

OPI Glitter Off

Hey guys! Today I'm reviewing OPI 's Glitter Off base coat. I heard it's being discontinued, so if you don't have it yet and want it, grab it when you see it!
I'm sure most of you have been hearing a lot of buzz lately about using Elmer's white glue as a base coat before applying a dense glitter polish for easy, peel off removal. That's pretty much what Glitter Off is, it doesn't smell like polish. It smells exactly like white glue.

So this is what it looks like as it's drying. My pinky nail is completely dry. The drying seem to begin at the tip of the nail. That's why it looks like I have major shrinkage going on lol. It took about 3 minutes to dry completely.

Here's a comparison of the brush next to a normal brush from opi

Instructions say not to use base coat under this and I recomend that as well. I tried that and wrinkled the Glitter Off. It was really weird!

Here it is completely dry. ( please excuse my stained nails! )

I used Essie's Ignite The Night. It's a really dense glitter that's opaque in three coats. It came off super easy, I used a orange stick to pick at the side of the nail and it pretty much popped off! (PS- this is an old pic I was saving for this blog post, that's why my nail shapes don't match!)

Hope that was helpful!

Essence Cookies & Cream Collection

Hello everyone! Today I have 3 of the 4 polishes from Essence's limited edition collection, Cookies & Cream. This collection is neutral shimmers, I think! 😜
Each polish came with a little pack of decals!

First up is "Last Night A Cookie Saved My Life"
    Artificial lighting

    Macro

I used 2 coats for the photos above plus topcoat. Of course I had to apply one of the cookie decals the polish came with! First coat was a bit streaky, but the second cleared that up. One thing all the polishes did was it showed all the grooves in my nails. Oh well!

Here's "Macron, C'est Bon!"
    Artificial lighting

This is probably my fave of the collection! It's so pretty! I used 2 coats plus topcoat.   The application and dry was good.

Lastly, "Yummy! Yummy!"
    Artificial lighting

This was also opaque in 2 coats which is awesome! The macro isn't very colour accurate, unfortunately. I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

Anyways, thanks for reading!
