Guest post!

Hey guys! My daughter Emma got an early Christmas present and its a Monster High nail set! She was super stoked to try  it al out. She looks at me and say, "Mom, I want to be a blogger like you. Can you blog this please?" Hahah!! Of course I will! So the set came with a nail dryer, a sheet of decals, and 7 polishes.

She wanted me to say that the polishes don't dry fast and that's no good and that the decals don't fit "kid fingers" lol. They stick up on the edges.

Here is Emma's finished mani using her set. She really liked the fan because it helped dry the nail polish (even though it really didn't).

Thanks for stopping by!

Essence Aquatix Collection

Hey yall! Happy Thanksgiving to my American readers!! Today I have the Aquatic Collection from Essence. There is actually 5 polishes in this collection but I only grabbed 4 because I really wouldn't have worn it. All of the polishes were a bit sheer in the first coat but built up nicely.

Here's "Finding Dori"

Finding Dori is a blue/green duo-chromeit has a very subtle, but nice shift. It was A bit brush stroke-y. Other than that, good polish. I used 2 coats.

This is "Under The Sea"

A gorgeous light blue holographic polish, who doesn't love a holo?!? Unfortunately, my macro shot isn't very colour accurate.  I used 2 creamy coats for the pics above.

Next is "Mermaids Secret"

Mermaids Secret is a pretty jellyish polish with iridescent flakies that shift to purple and pink. So pretty! Dry time was really good for this polish but was also the streakiest on the first coat. This is 2 coats.

Lastly is "Underwater Love"

Underwater Love is a dark blue, slightly textured polish. The green glitter in it makes it appear turquoise. Soo hard to photograph! Pics don't do justice! Go buy his polish now!! Great dry time. I used 2 coats.

Thanks for reading!

New Hard Candy polishes

Hey guys! I have some new Hard Candy polishes to show you!

First up is "Beach Babe"

This is a red cream polish, not my fave shade of red but it's still pretty and had a good formula. I used 2 coats.

"Sweet Retreat"

Super pretty light blue cream. Reminds me of Essie's "Find Me An Oasis". Had as an awesome formula and a good dry time. I used three thin coats.

Next is "Wedding Crasher"

This is a glitter polish in a clear base, has the same glitters as Hard Candy "Black Tie Optional" but with silver as well!! So nice! I layered one coat over Sweet Retreat.

"Remix Red"

This is my type of red! Definitely a classic shade. Formula and dry time is good, I used 2 coats.

Lastly is "All Nighter"

This is the perfect vampy, sexy, deep red that I just adore! It's perfection! This is my new fave red. 2 coats

I found these at Walmart for $3.99 each, definitely a steal.

Thanks for stopping by!

Influenster Hasbro VoxBox

Hey guys! I have another influencer box box review today! This box had Hasbro's Monopoly Junior..so fun!! I'm a major monopoly fan so this was just perfect for my 5 year old.

This is how it looked in the box

The game is for ages 5 + and up to 4 players. The 4 tokens it comes with are too cute!

They're bigger and easier to hold for little hands. The cash only comes in ones for easier transactions. It includes chance cards, a die, and 12 cut outs of each character to use as property markers, there's no property cards so you simply place your cutout on the property you purchase. The properties have cute names likes pizza joint, zoo, and skate park. The rules are super simple, I highly recommend this game to anyone who has small children.

My daughter was so happy when she won her first game!

Thanks for stopping by!

**i received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes**

OPI Little Peanuts set

Hi guys!! I finally got my hands on OPI's awesome new Halloween 2014 collection, Peanuts!! Released just in time to watch The Great Pumpkin too! I got the mini set which is called "Little Peanuts" and comes with some nail decals.

Look how cute these are!!

First up, "Good Grief!"
    Artificial light

OPI describes it as "The sunny yellow of Charlie Brown's favourite t-shirt". My pic shows it a bit more bright than it actually is, it is EXACTLY the same colour as his shirt, it's great. First coat was a bit streaky, but the second fixed that up.

Next is "To Be Or Not To Beagle"
    Artificial light
(This is colour accurate)

OPI describes this as "Snoopys happy dance of colour in a joyful glitter". Remember his happy dance?! So cute! This glitter topper contains black micro, hex, and bars along with multicoloured hexagon glitters. One coat over Good Grief!

Here's "Who Are You Calling Bossy?!?
    Artificial light

OPI's description is "This stormy black is no match for Lucy's raven hair". When u applied the first coat, it reminded me of a jelly polish, it was opaque in two coats though and dried really fast. This will be my new go to black!

Lastly,"Where's My Blanket???"
    Artificial light

Here's how OPI describes this glitter topper, "Linus awaits the Great Pumpkin in this orange and black glitter". I really like this glitter, great for Halloween but also can be worn year round in my opinion. It contains micro black and hex glitters along with orange and yellow hexagons. I did one coat over a white base plus some dabbing to spread out the coloured glitters a bit better.

I really love this collection, and if you're a Peanuts fan You need this!!

China Glaze Apocalypse Of Color

Hey guys! I was finally able to get my hands on the zombie themed China Glaze Halloween 2014 collection, Apocalypse Of Color! Let me tell you, it doesn't disappoint! It consists of 5 new shades plus Ghoulish Glow which is re released every year. I don't have a swatch of it for you because in my opinion the glow on it is crap.

Here's "Don't Let The Dead Bite"
    Artificial light

This is a pale pink/nude crelly with pink and red hexagons and bar glitter in various sizes. I'm assuming this Is meant to represent blood spatter. It's very well represented and has a great formula. I used 3 coats plus topcoat.

This is "But Of Corpse"
    Artificial light

This is a slime green polish with black glitter and silver shimmer. It dries to a beautiful matte satiny finish, and it's also slightly textured. No applications issues, dried super fast. I used only one coat, no topcoat.

"I Love Your Guts"
    Artificial light

This was my unexpected fave from this collection. It's a lovely pink that I think suits the name really well. Finish and application is the same as "But Of Corpse". Also one coat.

This is "Getting To Gnaw You"
    Artificial light

This is a black, slightly textured polish with orange/copper glitter in it. Fantastic application. 2 coats, no topcoat.

Lastly "Rest In Pieces"
    Artificial light

This is a glitter topper that consists black hexagons, gold and copper bars of various sizes. It's a really beautiful glitter that I didn't think I'd like but I do! I layered one coat over Essie "Fierce, No Fear".

Overall, I LOVE this collection! China Glaze did such a great job this year.

Thanks for stopping by!

Essie Fall 2014

Hey guys! Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends! Today I have 3 beauties from Essie's Fall collection. To avoid repetition, no topcoat was used. Application was good for all, dry time is pretty average.

Here's "Dress To Kilt"
    Artificial light

Gorgeous, creamy red with an awesome name! I used 2 coats. As with most dark colours, it stains cuticles so try to keep it as far away from the skin as possible.

Next is "Take It Outside"
    Artificial light

Take It outside is another creamy 2 coater. I guess for colour wise you could say it's a greige? Not too sure lol but lovely regardless.

Lastly is "Fall In Line"
    Artificial light

Isn't that shine crazy?!! Oh my! I love this green, I have nothing like it in my collection. This too, was 2 coats.

These are great colours for Fall! I really like them. The others from the collection are really pretty as well. I got these from Walmart for $8.99 each.

Thanks for stopping by!

OPI Little Northies Set

Hey guys! The other day I went to my local beauty supply for some seche vite and of course I had to leave with some polish! I grabbed the mini set of 4 polishes from the Nordic fall/winter Collection. It comes with "My Dogsled Is A Hybrid","Do You Have This Color In Stock-holm?","My Voive Is A Little Norse" and "How Great Is Your Dane?" It's 3 creams and 1 glitter.

Here's "My Dogsled Is A Hybrid"
    Artificial light

Opi describes it as a creamy sea green, and it's gorgeous!! Application and dry time was good. I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

Here's "Do You Have This Color In Stock-holm?"
    Artificial light
    Natural light

Opi describes this a an icy blue violet. It's looks blue and purple in different lighting, definitely my fave from this set! I used 3 coats plus topcoat.

This is "My Voice Is A Little Norse"
    Artificial light

Opi describes this as a prismatic super-shimmer. I used 4 coats on bare nails with one coat of topcoat. I suggest using 2 because this is topcoat thirsty! Besides that, it's a super fun polish that would be great for a night out!

Lastly, "How Great Is Your Dane?"
    Artificial light
    Shade

Opi describes this a cinnamon coffee brown. It's a nice rich colour for fall! Application was super creamy and dry time was good. I used 2 coats plus topcoat.

What do y'all think of these minis and the others from the collection?

Thanks for stopping by!
