Hard Candy Pop Art Collection part 1

Hey everyone! What are your plans for the weekend? Mine include studying, and more studying! School has me super busy :) anyway, I seen that Walmart had some new Hard Candy polishes and I just couldn't resist. This particular collection is called Pop Art, which include 7 new glitters!
To avoid being repetitive, all of the following glitters were very dense so I didn't have to fish for any and application was good.

This is "King Of Pop"

    Natural light.

This is a glitter in a clear base. It has micro white and light blue glitter, large white and peach coloured hexes and light green and white hexes that are slightly larger than the micro glitter. I layered this over NYC "Nolita's Lavender".

Here's "Soda Pop"

    Natural light.

Soda Pop is a glitter in a clear base containing red, white, and blue hexes in various sizes. This would be perfect for a Fourth of July mani! I layered this over Rimmel London "Grey Matter".

Next is "Pop Star"

    Natural light.

Pop Star contains black, light and dark blue hexes in a clear base. I layered this over Color Show "Sweet Clementine".

And my favourite, "Pop-arazzi"

    Natural light.

This is such a fun color mix, it kind of reminds me of the circus! This glitter is also in a clear base and has black, red, light green, light blue, dark blue and a very light pink hexes.

These cost $3.98 CAD each at Walmart. Thanks for stopping by! Let m know which is your fave and if you've tried the others!

DIY macro lens using a laser pointer

Hey everyone! Yesterday I stumbled upon a site (techverse.net) that shows you how to make a macro lens for your phone using a laser pointer! I was so excited to try this. You need:
Tape, a laser pointer, and a bobby pin.

Screw or pull off (depending on the laser pointer)the end part that projects the laser.

This is what was inside mine. The silver piece is what contains the lens, which is the last piece on the right.

Open up a bobby pin and place it inside. But be careful! The lens may pop out and go flying haha!

Place the bobby pin on your phone so that the lens is in front of you phones camera lens and tape it down! That's it, super easy and works really well!

Here's a couple pics I took using my iphone 5 and homemade macro lens :)

    Peacock feather

Bottle shot of Trelly Polish "Pool Toys"

I hope you found this useful! If you want to see more macro pics, follow me on Instagram @polishednubs :D

Revlon Parfumerie Collection part 2

Hey everyone! I was finally able to get my hands on some more of Revlons scented polish...on sale!! Woo hoo!

This is "Fresh Linen"

    Natural light.

To be honest, I only bought this one just to have it lol. This is 3 coats, the first 2 were streaky, but the third evened it out nicely and Has a white shimmer throughout it. I wouldn't say this smells like fresh linen. Maybe soap and dryer sheets mixed together? Lol

Here's "Italian Leather"

    Natural light.

This is a mossy green with gold shimmer, it's quite pretty in real life. This is 2 coats, no topcoat. Without telling my boyfriend what the scent was, he said it smells "like the inside of a car" lol. So I guess Revlon did the best they could to get a leather scent!

This is "China Flower"

    Natural light.

Ahh.. I'm a sucker for a gorgeous red and cute names! This is 2 coats, no topcoat. Have to be careful around the cuticles with this one, does some minor staining. As for smell, a mixture of flowers and perfume! Hahha! It's not a bad smell though.

Lastly, "African Tea Rose"

    Natural light.

Out of all the polish I own, this is one of the best pink I have. I love it! It has neon pink shimmer in it as well. This is 2 coats, no topcoat. This smells like wild roses!

All of these polishes applied well and dried pretty quickly. The scent lasts even under topcoat, showering, and hand washing. It's not overpowering either.

Hope you enjoyed!

New N.Y.C. polishes

Hey! What are guys' plans for the weekend? So, my walmart has N.Y.C polishes, 2 for $3. I noticed there was some new colours and when I seen some Spring-y looking ones, I grabbed them!

This is "Mint'ed On Broadway"

    Natural light

In my opinion, this is one of the better mint shades I've seen. The first coat was streaky, but a second coat evened it out nicely. This is with no topcoat, it's soo shiny!

Here's "Nolita's Lavender"

    Natural light.

The BEST purple in my collection. I'm serious. Great application and it dried pretty fast. The formula is super creamy, too. This is 2 coats, no topcoat.

The only downside to theis brand is that they get goopy within months. But for the price, they are easily replaceable and totally worth it!

Come check me out on Instagram for more polish and randomness!

Polish Addict Nail Color

Hi!! How's everyone's week so far? I've been super busy with school so when these babies arrived in my mailbox, it's safe to say I was thrilled! I must say I'm loving PANC's new labels! I got Drunken Unicorn and Punk Rock Chic which is,unfortunately, no longer available.

First is "Drunken Unicorn"

    Natural light

Look at that!! This is a white crelly (looks off, but it's not!) with neon matte micro glitters and gray, black, and white dots!! Great application as well, no fishing! This is 2 coats with top coat.

Close up bottle shot:

Here's "Punk Rock Chic"

    Natural light

This is a gray crelly with holo stars, pink and white skull and crossbones among many types of black and white glitter plus some beautiful sparkly, iridescent glitter!  This is 3 coats plus topcoat. I had to do some fishing for the skulls and stars. The polish is still a beauty regardless and it's way more pretty in real life!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Black Cat Lacquer

Hey everyone! So, I placed my very first indie order ever just over a week ago with Black Cat Lacquer and received my goodies!

The first one is "My Blue Valentine".

    Natural light.

I seriously cannot even begin to tell you all how gorgeous this polish is. It's a black jelly loaded with blue and turquoise hex and huge holo dot glitters!! Absolutely stunning! This is 2 coats with a topcoat. The formula was a bit gloopy but manageable and NO glitter fishing!!!

Now if you know me, you know I love The Nightmare Before Christmas. So when I seen "The Pumpkin King", I had to have it.

    Natural light.

This is one coat over OPI "Skull & Glossbones". I left the bottle upside down for a few minutes because I wanted those pumpkins! There's skull and crossbones, bar, black and orange holo pumpkins, see though orange hex and various other awesome glitters!! All the glitters laid flat on my nail. This also has a topcoat.

Last but not least, "Poison Apple"

    Natural light.

"Poison Apple" is a scattered holo red thermal. This photo is two coats with topcoat and shows the transition.

Cold state

Warm state.

It's even lightly scented like candy apples! How perfect is that?! This had an amazing formula, application and dry time.

I'm so glad I ordered from BCL!
